BountyJobs Named to Inc. 500 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the U.S.
Online Headhunter Marketplace Notches Three-Year Revenue Growth of 881% Despite Worst Job Market in 50 Years
NEW YORK – August 24, 2011 – BountyJobs, the online marketplace that connects corporate recruiters with a national network of seasoned headhunters, today was named No. 389 on Inc. magazine's annual Inc. 500, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America's high-growth private companies. Companies such as Microsoft, Zappos, Intuit, Go Daddy, Clif Bar, American Apparel and Oracle are among the brands that gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500.
BountyJobs is one of only seven HR industry companies to make the Inc. 500 list for 2011, and the only one to focus on improving the way companies find and work more effectively with specialized headhunters. The company's revenue jumped 881 percent from 2007 to 2010, the three years tracked by the Inc. editorial team.
"No HR or recruiting department that regularly uses headhunters to fill critical roles would be surprised at our growth," said BountyJobs CEO Mike Hard. "Prior to BountyJobs, there was no way for companies to manage jobs sent to headhunters with the same discipline they use to track jobs they sourced directly."
It is especially interesting that BountyJobs – a company that operates smack in the middle of the recruiting industry – saw stellar growth during the worst job market in 50 years. Hard attributes this growth to two complementary trends: the strong demand from Fortune 500 employers to locate specialized headhunters nationwide, and an equally strong need for those specialized agencies to present themselves and their candidates in an objective way to the best employers.
Most of the company's growth has come from Fortune 500 employers. In mid-2010, BountyJobs added its 170th Fortune 500 employer as a client and its marketplace is thus being used by more than a third of the Fortune 500. Industry leaders including Nike, Caterpillar, Thomson Reuters and Banner Health turn to BountyJobs with high-level job openings and rely on the nation's best headhunters in banking, manufacturing, technology and healthcare to supply candidates to fill those crucial positions.
The 2011 Inc. 500 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by June 30, 2007, and be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent (not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies) as of December 31, 2010.
